My Pie Town

I was at the Met yesterday and hightailed it to their current photo exhibit, After Photoshop: Manipulated Photography in the Digital Age. One piece from the exhibit that lingers in my brain is Debbie Grossman’s My Pie Town – a series of altered 1940 photographs that make women the scruffy stars of a dusty New Mexico landscape.
